On October 26, the Chairman of the Naftogaz-Ukraine company Andriy Kobolev received an award from Patriarch Filaret, the leader of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Kyiv Patriarchate. The press service of the UOC reported thios in the evening.
It is noted that on Friday, Patriarch Filaret met wit Kobolev at his residence.
'For the work for the benefit of Ukrainian state and the local Ukrainian Orthodox Church, the head of the Kyiv Patriarchate awarded Andriy Kobolev, Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz-Ukraine with the 2nd-degree Saint Andrew's Order,' the report said.
Andriy Kobolev began his career in the Ukrainian division of the international auditing and consulting company PriceWaterhouseCoopers; he served as a management consultant.
In 2002, Kobolev moved to work at Naftogaz as chief specialist of the corporate finance and pricing policy department (then the company was headed by Yury Boyko). Four years later, Kobolev headed his department. After two more years, he became an adviser to the new head of the board of Oleg Dubyna.
In 2010, Andriy Kobolev left Naftogaz for investment company AYA Securities. In 2014, he headed the board of Naftogaz.
