NABU is ordered to investigate possible illicit enrichment of Odesa Police head

The court commissioned the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) to initiate an investigation of possible illegal enrichment of Dmytro Golovin, head of General Directorate of the National Police in Odesa region. Ukrainsky Novyny reported this citing the court data. 

The complaint is based on the appeal about criminal offenses the head of the Police committed; it was filed by the NABU on October 19. The information on the offenses was not included into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations.

In this regard, the applicant filed a complaint with the court, which was later approved. The NABU was obliged to open a case against Golovin for declaring the invalid information and illegal enrichment. 

Earlier, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine initiated criminal proceedings against 25 MPs of the Ukrainian Parliament; all cases concerned the embezzlement of budgetary funds.
