Ukrainian citizen tried to transfer military ships' details to Russia

Mykolayiv resident tried to transport parts used in repair and maintenance of the ships of the Russian Navy from the territory of Ukraine. This was reported by the press center of the Security Service of Ukraine.

"During a pre-trial investigation, it was established that a resident of Mylokayiv planned to illegally ship parts that are used during repair and maintenance of engines on the Russian Navy ships," the message said.

Reportedly, law enforcement officers seized illegal cargo while he crossed the state border. According to preliminary estimates, the market value of the identified equipment is more than one and a half million hryvnias (60,000 dollars).

It is noted that during a search of the man’s place of residence, police found flash drives and computer equipment that contain correspondence with customers from Russia.

An investigation has been launched into a violation of the regime for the international transfer of goods subject to state export control.
