Mayor of Mykolaiv Oleksandr Senkevych announced that citizens will be required to carry special IDs to be able to use public transport. He left the respective post on Facebook.

The official claimed that the companies will have to update the digital IDs for their staff. An e-system was created on the website of the city administration for that matter.

Senkevych added that the IDs issued last year are now invalid.

"Every document will have its own individual QR-code. The copy will be stored in the special database on the website. After registration, you will get the IDs sent on your e-mail. You will need to print them and carry them with you, along with the documents that confirm your identity", the mayor said.
