The meeting of MPs in the interparliamentary dimension of the Normandy Four format could take place in April or May. Viktor Medvedechuk, the Chairman of Political Council of Opposition Platform-For Life party said so at the meeting with Russian MPs in Moscow. He came to the Russian capital on March 10 to participate in the work of Ukraine-Russia-France-Germany-France interparliamentary group.
"Today, we created a workgroup that we agreed on with our colleagues, with the leaders of Russia's State Duma that will plan such a meeting. Besides, the opportunity of such a meeting was discussed at a meeting in Berlin, in Paris", he said.
The politician added that the time and place of the event will be defined in the near future. "At least, we're not going to drag any time with this because we actually want to have an impact on the processes that could result in peace in Ukraine", Medvedchuk concluded.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky gave an interview, in which he promised to leave the negotiation process with the Russian Federation if he failed to agree with Russian President Vladimir Putin on ending the war in the Donbas within a year.
