A member of the Hromadyanska Posytsia party (led by Anatoliy Hrytsenko) Oleksandr Komarnytsky died after falling into a coma caused by the actions of a policeman in Vinnytsia on June 11. This is reported by the press service of the party.

A man who had been in a coma for almost two weeks never regained consciousness. He died today, June 23.

"Life is like a moment ... Today the heart of a wonderful person, a great patriot of Ukraine, Oleksandr Komarnytsky, stopped. The tragedy that occurred on June evening on the street of our city... The police that should protect the peace and peaceful life of citizens beat him up, and it became fatal. For what? Only because he refused to testify about what he had no idea!", wrote Serhiy Gaystruk, the head of the Vinnytsia regional organization of the Hromadyanska Posytsia.

Members of the political force express their condolences to the relatives and friends of Oleksandr Komarnytsky.

We recall, on June 11 a Vinnytsia policeman asked Komarnytsky to testify as a witness, but he refused. After that, a verbal skirmish occurred between the men, the policeman pushed Komarnytsky. The man fell, hit his head and fell into a coma. The police officer who was implicated in this was sentenced to round-the-clock house arrest.

Subsequently, four heads of local police were dismissed.
