A miner deceased due to an accident in a coal mine in Lviv region. Mykhailo Volynets, the head of independent trade union of miners of Ukraine posted this on Facebook.

"Sad news from Chervonohradska mine No.2, which belongs to Lvivvuhillya state enterprise. Mountaineer Oleksandr Lukash passed away due to lethal injuries", he wrote.

According to Volynets, medics could not save the man's life. The details of the tragedy are being found out.

Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to impose special duties for the import of coal, diesel fuel, and liquefied gas. The duties will be active by the end of the year. The respective decree may be found on the government portal website.

The document says that the duties will be imposed so as to protect safety interests in the extraordinary circumstances in international relations. The rate of duty for gasoils will make 4 percent, for liquefied gas - 3 percent, and for most types of coal, it will make 65 percent.

If the origin country of goods that the duties are applied to cannot be defined, such goods are released for free turnover all over Ukraine - as long as special duty is paid under the defined rates of duty.
