The vast majority of voters in the U.S. believes that the situation in the country has gotten out of control, and former US Vice President Joe Biden is the one who can fix it. Forbes writes that, citing the polling data.
A poll of thousands of registered voters by the Wall Street Journal and NBC News showed that 80% of voters said the country was "out of control", while 15% said that everything was "under control".
Joe Biden's rating is seven points ahead of that of Donald Trump, where the former has 49% and the latter 42%. Democratic control over the Congress is maintained with a gap of 11 points - 51% versus 40%.
Biden is also considered more competent and effective, as well as prone to change, and to "overcome the impasse in Washington and achieve the goal."
Biden is ahead of Trump by a significant margin in such matters as resolving the problems of African Americans, Hispanics, health issues and the unification of the country. In these matters, Biden leads by a margin of two to one.
The survey was conducted by American publications amid a pandemic and mass protests over the killing of 46-year-old African American George Floyd.
