Continuous protest rally "Stop the corruption in NBU" began on November 13 next to the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU). "Stop Corruption" public organization has initiated it, UNN reports.

Activists demand National Bank’s executives in the person of Yakiv Smoliy and his deputy Kateryna Rozhkova to be held responsible for corruption schemes.

More than 500 protesters gathered under the walls of the National Bank of Ukraine in the morning, and there are more of them coming.

There are next slogans spotted at the rally: "Smoliy, do not rob people", "Clear out NBU’s criminal leadership", "NBU banking system is an economic genocide of Ukrainians".

As we reported earlier, on the evening of November 11, it became known that the National Anti-Corruption Bureau detained seven people, former and current officials of the National Bank of Ukraine, VAB Bank PJSC and private companies tied to the final beneficiaries of this bank. Among the detainees is Gontareva's former First Deputy, and Chairman of the Board of Raiffeisen Bank Aval, Oleksandr Pysaruk.

Novoe Vremia agency, citing its own sources, reported that employees of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) were in the office of Raiffeisen Bank Aval, where they planned to detain its Chairman of board Pysaruk., citing a source at the Prosecutor General's Office, wrote that the bank was searched.
