Ombudsman of Ukraine Valeriya Lutkovska informed that almost 100 Ukrainians, who went to Russia to find employment, but instead went to jail, addressed her, s she told Channel 5 on air.

“If you walk out into the street now, on the subway, on Independence Square, you will find an invitation to work in delivery in Russia. I can tell you that there are around 100 people now, who addressed me because they went there for work, and then were jailed,” she said.

Ombudsman warned that even though the economic situation in Ukraine is tough, and many people are struggling to find employment, doing this in Russia is rather dangerous.

“If you are going to Russia, you have to understand the risks,” Lutkovksa believes.
