It is noted that traffic will be resumed for both passenger and freight transport from May 24.
"The only border crossing point remains non-functional - the Lipcani - Radauți-Prut checkpoint, as the Romanian side has not yet resumed its work," the statement said.
The border police reminded that Moldova has suspended the work of several checkpoints on the border with Ukraine and Romania since March 2020, in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus. So far, only 33 checkpoints out of 88 have been opened.
As it was reported earlier, Ukraine and Moldova have agreed to sign an agreement on the mutual recognition of Covid certificates. The corresponding decision was made during the meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba with the head of the diplomatic department of Moldova Aureliu Cioco. The ministers also agreed to intensify trade and economic cooperation, in particular, to study the possibility of canceling roaming charges for calls between Ukraine and Moldova.
