Moldova opens border for foreigners, but Ukrainians are prohibited from entering

Moldova has opened its borders to foreigners from countries with less than 50 cases of coronavirus infection per 100 thousand people.  The ruling takes effect on Monday, August 31st, as Newsmaker reports.

 At the same time, Ukraine, Romania, USA, Spain, Israel, Armenia, France were included in the list of countries of the red zone.  In general, this list includes more than 50 countries of the world.  Moldovan citizens returning from these countries will have to fill out an epidemiological card and observe a 14-day quarantine.

 Entry from the "red list" of countries is allowed only to those who have relatives in Moldova, as well as foreign citizens who have a long-term visa or residence permit, students and teachers, representatives of diplomatic missions, transit passengers.

 The ban also does not apply to foreigners who arrived in Moldova for work and have a work visa, residence permit or other document, an invitation from a Moldovan company or an employment contract.

 Like the citizens of Moldova, foreigners who came from the countries of the "green zone" are not required to comply with the 14-day quarantine.

As we reported before, the Slovenian government has included Ukraine in the list of countries of the "red" zone, in this regard, everyone entering the country from Ukraine will have to go through mandatory self-isolation
