“I would also like to say a few words on the fact that the protection of minorities inside Ukraine and media freedom are part of our constant work with the institutions but also with civil society,” she said.
Mogherini noted that the issues raised by the MEPs got close attention.
“I also want to guarantee to you that all suggestions and inputs, on different topics, be it on the kind of support we can give to the support process inside Ukraine or to the Minsk Agreement implementation and the resolution of the conflict, will be reflected in our discussion with the 28 Foreign Ministers of Member States on Monday but also and mainly with our Ukrainian counterpart as the Foreign Minister [Vadym Prystaiko] is joining us on Monday,” she stated.
Besides, Mogherini thanked the MEPs for interaction in different issues concerning not only Ukraine but also the defense and security of other states as her cadency comes to the end.
Earlier MEP Nathan Gill accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in terms of attempts to exercise control over the media who do not support his interests.
