Vilkha and Neptune missile test launches began in Odesa region, southern Ukraine. Ukrainian Military Portal reported that Tuesday, May 21. The tests are in the preparation phase; the very tests are slated for May 22-24.
A certain area in the Black Sea region was shut down for security reasons.
No details have been made available so far; however, it is known that Vilkha-M and Vilkha-R will be involved. RC-360MC Neptun, anti-ship missile will be fired during the test, too.
Last month, similar tests were conducted in Odesa region.
Over the last five years, Ukraine deeply modernized old Soviet-era missile launcher Smerch and adopted it for military service; Neptun is the new development of Ukraine's military industry.
