About 31,000 people took part in Sunday protests in Belarus, 633 people were detained, as press secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus Olga Chemodanova reported on Telegram.

"In total, 633 people were detained yesterday for violating the legislation on mass events in the republic. Before the consideration of administrative offenses in court, 363 people are being held in places of detention," the message says.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on September 6, 42 protest actions were recorded in various places of the republic, the total number of participants exceeded 30,000 people.

As we reported before, Ukraine has expressed its readiness to assist Belarus in overcoming the political crisis that gripped the country after the presidential elections on August 9 and the protests wave. This position was voiced by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba during an informal meeting of the UN Security Council, dedicated to the human rights situation in Belarus.
