The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus claims that the opposition, which organized the rallies throughout the country, used their participants as "сannon fodder." This was stated by MIA head Yuri Karaev, BelTA news agency informed.

“Attempts to undermine the situation and bring discord into society were made by those who are indifferent to the interests of Belarus and its residents. It is obvious that the organizers used people as consumables, attracting people to participate in illegal activities,” Karaev said

He recalled that law enforcement officers have repeatedly asked citizens not to succumb to the influence of information technologies manipulating public consciousness, to be guided by common sense, and to be restrained. However, these requests were not heard, therefore both the participants of the unauthorized actions and the police officers suffered.

At the same time, the minister assured that his department has enough forces and means to prevent destabilization of the situation in the country, and any violations of the law will be suppressed, and the perpetrators will be punished.
