Minister of Health of Ukraine Maksym Stepanov said that he would insist on making managerial decisions, including staffing, due to the delay in paying 300% of the prizes to health workers. Stepanov said this during a briefing, the press service of the Ministry of Health reports.
According to Stepanov, without exception, all health workers will receive surcharges to their salaries. The situation with a delay in payments is under the control of the president and the government.
"I will insist on making the necessary managerial decisions, including staffing. Because I do not understand who gave the right to mock our medical workers," Stepanov noted.
As we reported before, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky instructed all chairmen of regional state administrations to fully pay off wage arrears to doctors in the coming days.
The President also noted that in those regions where doctors are not paid, the local governors may be deprived of a salary, and a maximum punishment would be a dismissal from their posts.
