Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine

Infrastructure Minister Vladyslav Krikliy wants the fast food restaurant McDonalds to start operating at Boryspil Airport. He stated this, speaking about plans for 2020, in an interview with the TsTS.

“I definitely want ProZorro to have all our leases and sales next year. For example, I want McDonalds to go to Boryspil airport. And they only go when everything is super transparent,” - the minister emphasized.

Krikliy also outlined plans for the next year to develop the aviation industry.

"The Ministry is exploring the possibility of starting a concession at four regional airports in Ukraine. Next year we will start some of them. We will simplify the mechanism for obtaining quotas and destinations so that as many companies as possible enter. With the help of eliminating VAT, we want to increase the population’s mobility in aviation," - he informed.

Recall that the cost of food at the airport "Boryspil" has repeatedly caused complaints from passengers. At the same time, the airport management explained that the competition for rental space in "Boryspil" is held by the State Property Fund. The airport itself can only slightly affect the prices set by tenants of catering outlets. The situation may change after corporatization of the state-owned enterprise Boryspil - the airport management will be able to more effectively manage its areas.

As we reported, Airport "Lviv" for the year increased passenger traffic by more than 25%.
