Surface clearance of the technical territory of the 48th arsenal near Kalynivka, Vinnytsia region, is fully completed. The commander of the military unit, Colonel Mykola Batyuk said this, ArmyInform reports.
It is noted that the disposal of the remnants of explosive objects that are not subject to transportation has ended. Now a special group of sappers is working on the technical territory, which is conducting a mine clearance quality check.
"The specialists who are part of the group did not participate in mine clearance. That is, it is an independent team of specialists. They check the area by squares and give conclusions on the quality of the clearance," - the commander said.
Colonel Batyuk noted that the planned disposal of gunpowder and ammunition, which have exhausted their storage life and are unsuitable for use, will last another about a year. They will be disposed of according to plan, on specially equipped sites.
As we reported, several explosions thundered at the military base in Kalynivka, Vinnytsia region, central Ukraine. Local media report that dry grass caught fire, and the blasts followed.
