The police of Lviv region, western Ukraine, detained the army serviceman who traded ammunition and explosives.

According to the Military Prosecutor's Office of the Western Region, a sergeant from the local military unit illegally pocketed the military property - two hand grenades, twenty explosive charges and over 200 7.62-mm gun cartridges, intending to trade them.

The fighter was detained on July 2, as he attempted to sell another batch of the ammunition. Apart from The law enforcers also seized 4,000 hryvnas (almost USD 153, - 112 International).

The investigation is underway.

As we reported, in May and June, the SBU, Ukraine's state security service discovered and seized almost 100,000 ammo cartridges and other military property, coming from the combat zone in eastern Ukraine. The HQ of the Joint Forces Operation reported this on Facebook. The arsenal seized from the illegal turnover includes an MRO-A flamethrower, 15 rocket-propelled grenade launchers, three heavy machineguns, eleven assault rifles, two handguns, over 1,200 rocket-propelled grenades, about 100,000 cartridges, 15 mortar mines, 55 hand grenades, smoke pellets and flares.

Law enforcers opened 20 criminal cases on the respective facts of confiscation.
