On December 23, the pro-Russian illegal armed groups did not violate the ceasefire regime in the Donbas conflict zone. The press center of the JFO headquarters reported that on Facebook.

"During the current day, as of 18:00, the Russian occupant troops did not violate the ceasefire regime. There was no shelling of the Ukrainian military’s positions," the report says.

No casualties among Joint Forces were reported during the day.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed a law, which expands the list of participants in hostilities by the warriors of a number of forces, which fought for the independence of Ukraine in the 20th century, including the members of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army and armed units of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists; the website of the Ukrainian Parliament reported that.

The law provides for granting the status of a combatant to citizens who took part in all forms of armed struggle for the independence of Ukraine in the 20th century as part of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, Ukrainian Insurgent Army of Ataman Taras Borovets (Bulba) "Polissian Sich", Ukrainian People’s Revolutionary Army, armed units of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists. 

The law amends Article 6 of the Law on the status of war veterans, namely the guarantees of their social protection.
