MiG-29 pilot dies in crash in Poland

MiG-29 fighter aircraft crashed in Poland at night on July 6. The press office of the Ministry of National Defense of Poland reports.

It is reported that assigned to the 22nd tactical aviation base the fighter aircraft was carrying out a night flight. The plane crashed near Paslek settlement, in the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship, in the northeast of Poland, approximately at 2:57 AM Kyiv time. The Ministry claims that the wreckage of the plane fell down in 500 meters from apartment buildings.

The pilot of the aircraft managed to bailed out near Sakuv settlement near Malbork city but he didn’t make it.

The Commission for the Investigation of Aircraft Crashes of State Aviation began the investigation into the cause of the crash.

Reportedly, the U.S. Forces in Japan lost a fighter aircraft. F-15 crashed near the coast of Okinawa.

The pilot survived, as he bailed out before the crash. The rescue team found him; however, no information is revealed regarding his health conditions.

Recently, the relatives of the victims of the MH17 tragedy in Donbas conducted an action neat Russian Embassy in the Hague. “Red roses were placed on 298 white chairs in memory of the mainly Dutch passengers and crew of flight MH17. The chairs, placed on a lawn near the embassy, represent 196 Dutch citizens and the others who perished on 17 July 2014.
