Message about mining Central Railway Station in Kyiv appared to be false

Law enforcement officers did not find explosives at the Central Railway Station in Kyiv, from which almost two thousand people had to be evacuated due to an anonymous message on the mining threat. This was reported on the website of the Kyiv police.

"Now the check is complete, no dangerous objects or explosives were found. At the time of the check, about 2,000 people were evacuated. The issue of opening criminal proceedings on the fact of a false message about the threat to the safety of citizens is being considered," the statement reads.

The message about the mining came to the police at 18:30. The investigative and operational group of the territorial police department, experts of the explosives service, dog handlers and patrol crews rushed to the site.

Earlier, the National Police has evacuated "Ukraina" department store because of the report on mining. The security service of the department store claimed this to Ukrinform news agency. 

All entrances were blocked, and the people were evacuated in a timely manner.
