As we reported earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky invited Pope Francis to Ukraine.
"I invited him to Ukraine. I am sure that he will be in Ukraine - not only in its capital. I said that in order to fully understand what is happening in the east, we must go to the east," Zelensky said.
The President also noted the important role that the Holy See could play a big role in bringing peace to Ukrainian soil.
