According to the sociological research held recently, 73% of the citizens of Ukraine stand against lifting of the moratorium for the sale of agricultural lands as 112 Ukraine reported citing Viktor Medvedchuk, the Chairman of the Political Council of Opposition Platform – For Life.
“The first thing is that 73% of Ukrainian citizens stand against it, according to the sociological research held recently. Moreover, the position of our party and our faction on this issue: we should not admit the sale of the agricultural lands without holding of the referendum and after the elaboration of the legislation, which will guarantee our citizens their right to use the land, in this case, agricultural lands. 74% of our citizens stand for holding of the referendum,” he stated.
“That is why, when they say about the investment element and in what things they see the investment, attractive course of action of state policy? In the sale of the last state enterprises during the privatization. Notably, those enterprises, which during these years, years of independence were in the list, which bans privatization. Today, this list is canceled and everything can be sold. Just pay money. What money? I believe the current authority is not really interested because the payment of big money for the assets in the country, where the combat actions take place and no peace…well, it is hard to suppose that someone may pay big money. The second is the land sale. It is the essence, content and direction of the investment policy of Mr. Zelensky? If it is so, it is not an investment policy. It is the policy of the sale of left things and concealing of things they call investments,” Medvedchuk underlined.
Earlier the Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy recommended the parliament to support the bill #2178-10 on the opening of the market of agrarian land developed by this committee.
