As of January 16, Kyiv city hall reports new cases of people falling sick due to the measles outbreak in the Ukrainian capital.
According to the report, 68 of 92 patients who turned for assistance are children; thus, the number increased by five in just one day. On January 15, the city’s authorities reported 87 people sick with measles.
Over eleven months in 2017, 3,382 Ukrainians suffered from measles. Six cases of lethal outcome were reported. Ukraine’s healthcare minister Ulyana Suprun assumes that the outbreak of the disease originated from Romania.
