Mayor of Lviv suspected of abuse of authority

According to the Mayor, the case was opened due to engagement of the construction company in open investing competition

Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine has handed Mayor of Lviv Andriy Sadovyi a notification on suspicion of the abuse of authority. Sadovyi informed about it on his Facebook page.

According to the Mayor, the case was opened because the Dutch company, which paid 2,2 million dollars for the land and had to build an industrial park, was engaged in the open investing competition in 2015.

"Starting from 2015-2016 and beyond – blocking from every side... On the level of the authorities, the General Prosecutor's Office ... During this time, the CTP company has set up parks in Romania, in other places. It is the third-largest investor, which is investing in industrial property".

As we reported earlier, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau was inspecting the activity of Lviv head, Andriy Sadovyi. This was announced by the head of the NABU Artem Sytnyk at the briefing in Lviv, Ukrainian News informed.

“Did we inspect Sadovyi? We are doing it now, but not based on the reports, but in the frameworks of our enforcement powers,” Sytnyk said.

At the same time, NABU head did not specify what aspect of Sadovyi’s activities had been inspected.
