The victims of the gunfire in Finnish town Imatra turned out to be the Mayor of the town Tiina Wilén-Jäppinen and two journalists. This is reported by the local daily Etela-Saimaa.

According to the police the deceased Mayor had two children. The daily notes that shewas praised for her work as head of the city. City leaders held a crisis meeting over this tragedy.

Another two victims of the shooter were two female journalists. The police thinks that the offender did not choose victims and did not know them personally and acted unknowingly.

The police now denies any unverified information concerning the motives for the crime, as they are yet clear. The women were going out of the restaurant when they were shot, according to the correspondent of the channel.

The shooter was a 23-year-old man, and he made from four to five shots, it is also reported.

Earlier it was reported that there were gunfires in Finland, three people killed near Russian border.
