In Iran, six deaths from coronavirus were recorded, the number of infected reached 28 people, and another infection was confirmed by a civil servant. Sky News Arabia and Reuters report this.

“There are 10 new cases of coronavirus infection in the country,” Kianoosh Jahanpour, spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Health, said this on February 22.

Thus, the total number of people infected with this virus increased to 28, and the number of deaths to six.

According to state television, an Iranian official tested positive for coronavirus. The mayor of the 13th district of the capital of Tehran, Morteza Rahmanzadeh, was hospitalized on Friday with symptoms of the disease.

To prevent an outbreak of a new virus, Iranian authorities decided to close schools, universities and educational centers in two cities in the center of the country - Qom and Araq.

Most cases of infection, including eight new ones, were recorded in Qom, 120 km south of the capital, Tehran.

Last Thursday, health officials called for the suspension of all religious gatherings in Qom.

As we reported before, in northern Italy, 79 citizens were infected with the coronavirus, and authorities therefore restricted their freedom of movement in 11 municipalities.
