Mass vaccination starts in U.S.: Nurse from New York gets the first shot

Today, on December 14, the mass vaccination of population against coronavirus has started in the U.S. The nurse from New York got the first vaccine shot as Reuters reported.

“I feel hopeful today, relieved…I hope this marks the beginning of the end of a very painful time in our history. I want to instill public confidence that the vaccine is safe,” the nurse said.

The doctors use the vaccine produced by Pfizer and BioNTech. Firstly, the medical employees and the residents of homes for elderly people will be vaccinated.

U.S. President Donald Trump reacted on this event on Twitter.

Until March 2021, 100 million people will be vaccinated from the coronavirus in the U.S. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend to vaccinate the medical employees and the residents of homes for elderly people and other social facilities.

As we reported, the management of Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (USA) approved the use of BioNTech/Pfizer vaccine from coronavirus. The approved recommendation concerns people of 16 years old and more.
