Lviv will hold the campaign for the mass vaccination against measles. People can get inoculated at the medical facilities in this city from February 18 till March 10. The doctors will vaccinate children granted that there's a permission from their parents. Volodymyr Zub, the chief of Lviv healthcare department reported that as quoted by Gal-Info news agency.

The analysis showed that a hundred of schools in Lviv are in the risk zone in terms of measles epidemic; the number of vaccinated children in these schools is below the normal, which is less than 95 percent. Thus, the campaign will be launched first of all at schools where there's the most serious threat of infection spreading.

Since the parental consent for this procedure is obligatory, the Healthcare Ministry has been sending the consent forms to be filled in.

Volodymyr Zub added that there are enough anti-measles vaccines in Lviv. The children will be inoculated under the supervision of their teachers. The vaccination procedures will be taking place at clinical establishments that work six days a week. Before the procedure, the doctors will find out if there are any precautions for every patient.

The chief of Lviv healthcare department reminded that the vaccination is the only reliable way to get protected against measles.
