A march for women's rights takes place in the center of Kyiv on Mykhailivska Square, the correspondent of "112 Ukraine" reports from the scene.

Several hundred participants of the march require equal rights for men and women.

According to the correspondent, there is also another group of women on the square who came to say that their rights are not violated. There are six participants of the second action, they are guarded by the police.

At the same time on Khreshchatyk today the "Great Women's Rally" will take place. The central street of the capital has been closed since morning. According to the correspondent of "112 Ukraine", 31 girls will take part in it.

We recall, on March 8 Ukraine marks the International Women's Day. In 2018, this day remains a state holiday. Despite the proposals to cancel it. Volodymyr Viatrovych, the Director of Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance, said that this day has to be canceled under the decommunization process.
