Manchester bombing suspect identified

CBS News is reporting that the suspect in last night’s terror attack following a concert in Manchester, England, has been identified as 23-year-old Salman Abedi

The man who blew himself up the previous night at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England, was 23-year-old Salman Abedi, who was known to British authorities prior to the attack. CBS News reported that citing the source.

In a generic statement posted online, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) claimed responsibility for Abedi's suicide bomb attack, which left 22 people dead, including children, at one of the entrances to the Manchester Arena.

Earlier, British police reported they had arrested a man suspected of involvement into yesterday's incident at the Manchester Arena.

At least 22 people, including some children, were killed and 59 wounded when a suicide bomber struck as thousands of fans streamed out of a concert by U.S. singer Ariana Grande in the English city of Manchester on Monday evening.
