A suicide attempt took place in Kyiv on Thursday. A man who stays at Khreshchatyk hotel climbed outside the window of his suite on the second floor and stood on a moulding, threatening to throw himself out. He called himself Timur Kyrylov and said he spent ‘half of his lifetime in Canada’, demanding a meeting with a Russian consul.
When psychologists asked him why he wanted a meeting with Russian consul, the man said he was ‘the only official he trusted’.
‘I wanted to save myself from a lot of things. But eventually, I came to conclusion that no government can help me. I do not want to return to the suite because they could kill me’, Kyrylov said.
At about 2 p.m., the man agreed to get back to his suite.
