Police officers detained the offender who announced his intention to mine the police department in Vinnytsia on January 5. On the fact of a false report, the police began criminal proceedings. The website of the National Police in the Vinnytsia region reported that on January 6.

Around 18:40, 102 hotline received a message from an unknown man stating that he intended to mine the premises of the Vinnytsia police department.

Explosion engineers and dog handlers examined the premises of the police department and the surrounding area. They did not find any dangerous objects.

The police identified the man who called the police. It turned out to be a 45-year-old native of Vinnytsia.

The man said that he had reported mining just for fun.

The attacker was detained in a procedural order and placed in a temporary detention center.

Criminal proceedings were opened on the fact of a false report about the mining. The culprit may face up to six years in prison. An investigation is underway.

As we reported, two girls were found dead in a rented apartment in Kyiv, in the Podil district.
