Man seized post office in Kharkiv arrested for two months

The court arrested Volodymyr Bezukh without the possibility to be released on bail

The court of Kharkiv arrested Volodymyr Bezukh, who seized the office of Ukrposhta and took 11 people hostage, for 60 days (until February 27) without the possibility of release on bail. This was reported by the judge during the hearing, which was broadcasted by 112 Ukraine.

So, the court satisfied the petition of the prosecution to take Volodymyr Bezukh into custody without the possibility of bail for 60 days.

As you know, in Kharkiv unknown man seized the office of "Ukrposhta" branch. The attacker said that he had an explosive, which he was ready to use.

First, the men had 11 people hostage: 9 adults and 2 children. Then, five hostages were released from the seized post office - three women and two children.

As a result of a six-hour special operation, all the hostages were released from the premises of the captured Ukrposhta building, and the attacker was detained.

The man who captured the Ukrposhta branch in Kharkiv was previously charged with drug offenses, and needs the help of psychiatrists.
