A landslide took place in Fontanka village, Odesa region on Tuesday. A local official reported that on Facebook.

Part of the street, which lies adjacent to the beach, slid under the ground; the length of the landslide made about 100 meters.

No casualties were reported due to the disaster. The local service utilities quickly turned off the engineering communications – gas, water pipelines and power lines.

Local users of social networks assume that the key reason is the absence of centralized canalization in the village; this is why the level of subsoil waters raises, which creates danger of loamy sections of the coast sliding off.
