Lviv is threatened with an outbreak of intestinal infection due to the garbage, when the temperature rises. This was stated by Head of the Health department in Lviv Volodymyr Zub in a commentary to 112 Ukraine TV Channel.
"As long as the temperature is kept low, the epidemiological risks of infectious diseases in the city are low. However, when the temperature is higher than 8 Celsius, the risk of infectious diseases will increase. There is a risk of increasing the number of rodents", Zub said.
As earlier reported, the mayor of Lviv Andriy Sadovy criticized the Cabinet and regional authorities, because they cannot convene a committee for emergency situations, which should discuss the situation with the garbage disposal in the city. He said that 35% of urban container yards are overfilled.
