President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko called on Belarusian scientists to create the best vaccine against Covid-19, saying that the development of Belarus' own vaccine is a matter of honor for the Healthcare Ministry and the National Academy of Sciences. This was reported by the presidential press service.

“The domestic vaccine is a matter of honor for Gusakov and Pinevich, the Healthcare Ministry and the National Academy of Sciences. It is necessary to develop the very best vaccine within the shortest possible time. It should be the finest, because we can draw on existing expertise and knowledge. It has already been done by Russians, Europeans, Chinese and Indians. Many are already producing these vaccines. We already have some expertise, we are not doing it from scratch,” the head of state said.

According to him, China is ready to support and help Belarus in this matter, if necessary.

As we reported earlier, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko stated that the opponents of the authority try to ‘break’ the country and their main goal is the president.

Besides, Lukashenko believes that in due time, Ukraine failed during the destabilization and collapsed, while Belarus keeps going.

“Everything is done to break the country. Ukraine collapsed. All post-Soviet republics collapse, while Belarus keeps going. They understand perfectly well, excuse me for my indiscretion that it keeps going mostly due to the fact that this Lukashenko hinders. That is why he should be brought down,” the Belarusian leader noted.
