September 13, President of Belarus Lukashenko ordered to withdraw the troops from the western border, because "it is costly." Lukashenko said this at a meeting with the power bloc of the Security Council of Belarus, BelTA informs.

"The first question is about the situation on the western border. I would like to hear a report from the Minister of Defense and the Chief of General Staff on what actions you propose for our army in the near future. That is, if NATO troops in Poland, Lithuania, They move more there, we should react to it adequately. We cannot be there for a long time without the need to keep the Armed Forces in such quantity. Moreover, it is costly," Lukashenko said

On August 17 Belarus announced military exercises near the border with Lithuania.

As we reported before, the escalation in Donbas occurred for the first time in a while. Russian occupants opened fire at Ukrainian positions near Prychepylivka. One of the Ukrainian fighters lost his life in combat.
