Linguistic expert evaluation has not found the signs of separatism in the statements by former Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych. Vladyslav Devyatko, presiding judge of the of Obolon court of Kyiv during the court hearing, Ukrainian News report.

"The calls for territorial changes of Ukraine and the downfall of the constitutional form of government are absent in public statements of Yanukovych and in his letter (to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin) as of May 1, 2014,” Devyatko said.

Expert’s report hasn’t found the direct calls for aggressive war in the statements of ex-president either.

At the same time, experts noted that the statements in the Yanukovych’s letter to Putin could have been used for conducting actions violating the sovereignty and inviolability of borders of Ukraine in the context of the existing situation.

As it was reported earlier, today Obolon district court of Kyiv continued hearing the treason case against fugitive president Viktor Yanukovych, suspected of the state treason, collusion of deliberate acts aimed at changing the territory and state borders of Ukraine and in collusion in conducting a war of aggression.
