LGBT demonstration obstructed in Kharkiv

About 30 young people wearing masks and balaclavas obstructed the campaign against homophobia, biphobia and transphobia. This is reported by the communications department of National Police Chief Department in Kharkiv region.

"It was announced about the campaign beforehand. At 18:00 a group of people - about 30 citizens who hid their faces, tried to prevent the action, they used foul language and threatened its participants. Patrol policemen, who guarded the order, warned against the inadmissibility of such actions and asked them to stop ... This did not stop the thugs and they began throwing eggs and zelenka at the participants and officers," the message says.

The patrol police tried to settle the situation, but a brawl occurred and two policemen were injured. They were taken to the hospital for medical help. Doctors pre-diagnosed bruises of parietal area on the head. Now the state of their health is satisfactory.

Law enforcers took 4 participants of the conflict to the police department. Now they are being identified.

This incident was recorded under Part 2, Art. 345 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (threatening or violence against a law enforcement official).

Earlier it was reported that EU appeals to Ukraine to guarantee the safe holding of LGBT March. The international community is worried about the safety of the LGBT people after the incidents of the violence towards LGBT representatives.
