Andy Paruby, the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada signed a law today

Andy Paruby, the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada signed a law on the holiday on December 25 and cancellation of the holiday on May 2 as it is reported at the website of the parliament.

It is stated that the law was signed by a speaker on November 21 and it is submitted for the signing to President Petro Poroshenko. He has 15 days to approve it or to impose a veto on it.

If the president signs it, the law will come into force the next day after the publishment.

The Verkhovna Rada added December 25 to the list of the holidays due to Christmas by the Gregorian calendar and only May 1 remains to be the International Worker’s Day
