The law enforcers of Cherkasy region detained the local who reported about the mining of the nuclear power plant in Zaporizhia. the press service of Cherkasy National Police reported that. 

The information about the mining of the nuclear station was received by the law enforcement agency on Cherkasy on October 25. The information was immediately passed to the colleagues in Zaporizhia region. At the same time operatives started identifying the person who may have done the offense.

As the result of police operations the man was identified less than in an hour. 

"The false report was stated by a resident of one village in Chornobaiv region. At his place of residence, the police found out a phone, which the man used to make a call. The intruder confessed to the offence," the message reads. 

The criminal proceeding was opened under article No. 259 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Deliberately false information about risk of citizens; security, destroying or damaging properties). The article provides imprisonment form 2 to 6 years.
