Law enforcers bust gang that recruited women for sexual slavery abroad

Ukraine’s State Border Guard discovered a criminal gang that used to recruit women, who would later go abroad and would be turned into sex slaves.

According to the Border Guard, a sidekick of the mentioned gang was detained during the border crossing procedure at Kharkiv international airport. The man tried to move two Ukrainian citizens to Turkey for further sexual exploitation.

Later that day, law enforcers detained a Ukrainian citizen, the resident of Mariupol who set the channel of human trafficking. They ‘searched his apartment and found evidence that proved he was involved in the criminal activity’, the Border Guard’s press service said.  

The suspects are in custody now; the investigation is underway.
