2019 appeared to be the warmest year in Kyiv since 1881. The average annual temperature in this city made +10.6 degrees by Celsius, which is 2.9 higher than the climate normal. The Central Geophysical Observatory reported that on January 2.

All 12 months of the year turned out to be warmer than usual. June's average temperature reached + 23.6 degrees, and it became the warmest in the entire hisstory of weather observation in Kyiv. It is also the first time that the December temperature in Kyiv exceeded + 15 degrees. On December 18, it reached + 15.2.

This year's temperature records were hit 36 times; in June alone, the number of new records made 11.

January 9 became the coldest day with - 14.4 by Celsius. August 13 became the hottest, with + 35.0 C in the shadow.

Due to the unusually warm December, the meteorological winter still has not reached the Ukrainian capital.
