The largest mass grave, allegedly with four thousand bodies was found in Iraq, not far from Mosul, where an operation against Islamic State terrorist group was conducted, reports Telegraph.
According to the newspaper, a huge funnel is located near Hasfa, near the road linking Mosul with the Iraqi capital Baghdad. ISIS militants killed here captured in 2014 Iraqi security forces officers and dumped their bodies into this pit. According to local residents, Hasfa killings began six months after militants in the summer of 2014 entered Mosul.
Also, according to eyewitnesses, most of the victims were shot, and the pit was deeper than 400 meters before they began to dump the bodies. One of the witnesses of these events, Mahmud said that he was forced to look at how the insurgents executed in one day about two thousand police and military, including his relative.
