A large-scale fire occurred in warehouses in the Desnyansky district of Kyiv. This was reported by the State Emergency Service.
"On February 2 at 11:52 in the Desnyansky district of the capital, a fire broke out in a warehouse building (storage of power tools, plastic and cardboard). As of 14:30, the fire area is 7,000 square meters. There is a threat of fire spreading on the adjacent building," said in a statement.
There are no victims. 105 members of personnel and 27 units of the State Emergency Service equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.
The air around the warehouse building is being measured for the presence of harmful substances; it appears that the air condition is within normal limits.
Earlier, we reported that an explosion thundered at a coke plant in Dnipropetrovsk region. According to the message of the State Emergency Service, 'on January 29, at 3.30 AM, the explosion of the gas-air mixture with the ignition of bitumen took place at three-storey building of resin-distillery workshop in the territory of Dnipro Coking plant in Kamianske. Five persons in critical condition were sent urgently to the hospital'.
The fire engulfed about 200 cubic meters. It was eliminated at 4:07 AM.The technological equipment of the workshop was damaged as the result of the fire. Five people were taken to a hosipital in critical condition.
