A large-scale fire occurred in a warehouse for storing timber of a private enterprise in Kharkiv. The press service of the State Emergencies Ministry reported it.
"On July 15, at 02:43, we received a message about a fire that occurred in a warehouse building for storing timber of a private enterprise. The fire almost instantly covered a large area, quickly spreading over combustible materials," the message reads.
At the time of the arrival of the rescuers, the fire spread to an area of 750 square meters. Rescuers submitted 18 fire nozzles to extinguish the fire and localized it at 05:00. As of 7 am, the final liquidation of the fire continued.
One person (local electric substation operator) was rescued at the site of the fire. In total, ten tankers, a fire train, and 70 people were involved in extinguishing the fire. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
As reported before, a fire occurred at the Hashem Foods juice plant in Rupganj, Bangladesh. The tragedy took the lives of at least 52 people. As the total number of workers reached 7,000 to 8,000, the actual number of victims may grow yet. 49 bodies were recovered during the search and rescue operation. Another three fatalities were confirmed by Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.
