As of February 10, Kyiv is ranked 20th in the live Air Quality and Pollution City Ranking as the city with the most polluted air. This is evidenced by data from the IQAir portal.
Kyiv's air pollution index is 98 points (high level of danger) while the norm is 50 points.
The highest levels of air pollution are recorded in Lahore (Pakistan), Kolkata (India), and Mumbai (India). The list also mentions Warsaw and Krakow (Poland), China's Beijing and Wuhan, and Russia's Krasnoyarsk.
Speaking of clean air: Moscow (Russia), Vancouver and Toronto, Canada (Tokyo) (Japan), Amsterdam (Netherlands), London (UK), Madrid (Spain), and San Francisco (the United States) showcase results that are suitable for the comfort living.
As we reported earlier, Roman Abramovsky, Ukraine's Minister of Environment and Natural Resources, said that there would be more plastic in the Black Sea than fish by 2050.
According to the official, the bank of the Dnipro river is extremely littered with plastic bottles, bags, and leftovers. Waste is dumped directly on the shore of the country's main waterway.
